Altrusa Hospitality House
Altrusa Hospitality House
The Altrusa Club of Green Bay’s capstone service project was the Altrusa House. Based upon a need expressed from the hospitals, in 2001, the existing Altrusa House was built. This project was spearheaded by our Club. On April 1, 2023, the Altrusa House was transferred to the Altrusa Hospitality House and is now its own 501(c)(3) with it’s own non-profit Board. Three members of the Altrusa Club will remain on the Altrusa Hospitality House Board. While the Altrusa Club is no longer responsible for the Altrusa Hospitality House, we continue to participate in doing volunteer work at the House as follows:
Meals for guests - This committee will plan, prepare and serve a dinner meal every month for House guests. The time committment would be from 4-7:30 pm. There is money in the budget for the main entree and members can donate necessary items to complete the meal. Other duties will be to set-up, prepare, take-down as well as spending time with guests.
Golf Outing - The golf outing occurs once per year and is one of the largest foundation fundraisers targeted for the Altrusa Hospitality House. There are many volunteer opportunities to help with this event.
